Seguramente más de alguna vez se han preguntado cuando se realizará una actualización en español en esta página, bueno, pues aquí va.
Quiero contarles que el proyecto comenzó hace aproximadamente dos semanas, realizamos una presentación formal con los niños y jóvenes interesados, y contamos además con la presencia de algunos padres. Con la cantidad de participantes conformamos tres grupos separados por edad, a cada grupo se le ha realizado una clase de ingles cada semana. First English Classes
Hey hey, so we had our first English class on Thursday, and it couldn’t have gone better. We showed up right before 5 PM at the Community Center in Cerro Mariposa, and to our surprise, about 10 kids were already circled around a desk, pencil and paper in hand, patiently (sort of) waiting to begin learning a new language. within the next 20 minutes or so, another 8 or 9 kids showed up, and by 5:30 we were cruising. Hey everyone, just wanted to let you guys know how things have been going out here in Valpo. I picked up Jon and Wiley (and super volunteer Jeanette Hardy) at the airport in Santiago almost two weeks ago, and we’ve been working hard to get things going ever since. We moved in to our place in Cerro Perdices, started to build some furniture and board racks for the house, and began to get a feel for the neighborhood.
