Foto Valpo hosts a Cribbage Tournament
Calling all Mainers! Please join us on Saturday, November 12th at Billy’s Tavern for a Cribbage Tournament to benefit Foto Valpo. The tournament starts at 4PM and goes until all games have been played. Partners are encouraged, $15 per player. Prizes are awarded to all winners, grand prize awarded to winning team! 3rd Annual NYC Silent Auction Fundraiser at Crop to Cup in Brooklyn, October 22
Kick off your Saturday with the Valpo Surf Project’s third annual New York City fundraiser. Foto Valpo Benefit Recap
On Saturday September 10, 2011 the VSP hosted a silent auction to benefit the launch of Foto Valpo, a photographic education program and the newest component of the Valpo Surf Project. Apart from the 20 knot breeze (the event was outside on the pier) the weather cooperated and around 50 people came out from midcoast Maine to support the Foto Valpo and celebrate the success and connection the VSP has to the area. University Student Fundraising Surf Lessons (Lecciones de Surf de Universitarios Para Recaudar Fondos)
The area of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar is home to a number of universities that attract students from around Chile and international exchange students from abroad. Within the past month, the Valpo Surf Project has hosted a number of instructional surf outings for university students as a way to fundraise money to offset costs of participant surf trips, generate support in the community, and recruit volunteers for English classes.
