Holiday Celebration (Celebracion de Navidad)

Before Christmas and the New Year, the entire Valpo Surf Project team got together to celebrate another year of surfing, learning English, and caring for the regional beaches of Valparaíso.  It was a great opportunity to relax while sharing food, drink, and of course presents.

During the event we took the opportunity to hand out some very special gifts for the VSP students.  Through a grant from the Valparaíso Municipal Sports Ministry, designated for uniforms for local sports teams, the Valpo Surf Project gave each student a windbreaker, shirt, bag, hat, and towel.  It was a great surprise for the students and they were very stoked for their new gear to keep them warm after surf sessions and the sun out of their eyes at the beach.

Thanks to the Lopez Mena family for all of their help and initiative in undertaking the uniform grant.  We’re all very thankful for the work you put in.

Antes de la Navidad y Año Nuevo, el equipo completo de Valpo Surf Project se juntó para celebrar otro año de surf, aprendizaje de inglés, y cuidar las playas de la quinta región.  Fue una oportunidad grande para relajarse, compartir comida, y por supuesto, intercambiar regalos.

Durante el evento aprovechamos la oportunidad a entregar algunos regalos especiales para los estudiantes de VSP.  Por una beca del Ministerio de Deportes de Valparaíso, designada para uniformes de equipos deportivos de la ciudad, Valpo Surf Project entregó un corta viento, polera, bolso, gorro, y Fue una sorpresa grande para los estudiantes y estaban muy emocionados por el nuevo equipo que va a mantenerlos calientes después de sesiones de surf y protegidos del sol en la playa.
